The dif b/w accounting and bookkeeping?

The dif b/w accounting and bookkeeping?

Bookkeepers track accounts and balances for a firm. They also create financial statements periodically.

Accountants can do all that as well, but they spend most of their time on more specialized tasks: auditing companies, completing tax returns, consulting, etc.

Bookkeepers don't need certification (or even a degree). Only a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) can sign off on a tax return or an audit report. A CPA needs a certain number of college credits, a few years practical experience, and passing scores on all four parts of the CPA exam. CPAs make much more money than bookkeepers.

It is the same thing keep track of accounts or records. It sounds simple but if you work for a big business it is hard to make sure everyone keeps receipts and records of things that will be important for you to compile and have readily available when the auditor pays your company a visit.
