Bookkeeping accounting from home?

Hi
My father is a retired CPA and became ill and sits around the house all day. He wants to do some very lite bookkeeping or acconting work from home. It does not have to pay too much, because he does not want too much work and he does not function like he used to. Are there any companies or sites that hire per diem work like this?? When I look I just come across work at home scams.

Check into Quickbooks by Quicken. They use the services of CPA's and bookkeepers to answer user questions that can't be answered through the program. I used the service a couple of times when I had questions and was given a few people to choose from (along with their prices), then connected to that person via an online chat room that was facilitated by Quickbooks. This was about 3 years ago so not sure if this program is still available.

He could also consider placing ads in his local Craigslist or in community bulletin boards. His services are very needed.

Look around town for small business owners who are just starting out and need a book keeper their is more than likely they will say yes.
