If i am a student & work at a bank, can that bank pay for my college education if i major in business or...?

My mom works at sovereign bank and in the past had a coworker who wanted to pursue a major in accounting, Sovereign ended up paying for that worker's college education...what other banks do this and for what major? (I am interested in majoring in business and maybe double in finances)

You have to speak to the specific bank. Sometimes it depends on the amount of time the employee has worked for the company. Chick Fil A used to have an employee education fund that helped their employees with education expenses. I'm not sure if they still do that.

A utility company I once knew of used to help pay for education if the student agreed to return and work for them after graduation. If not, it became a loan the person would be responsible for if they chose other employment after graduation.

A close relative of mine works at a bank in a management position. After he's worked for the bank for 2 years, they will pay the tuition for his MBA. So, I'm assuming you have to have a certain position and a specified amount of experience for the company to pay for all or part of your education. Companies can't afford to just hand out money to everyone who starts to work for them with the hopes of a free education.

The military will also pay for your education if you qualify and agree to join the military after graduation.

Many companies offer tuition reimbursement for classes that relate to the business they do. Banks generally will cover classes for Finance, Accounting and Business. If you want to know just ask, this is a benefit that many companies offer.
