I am a member of Cherokee Nation and I did not graduate from High School,How can I get my education paid for?

I want to get my High School Diploma or GED, afterwards I want to pursue my education in Accounting.
Can you tell me how I can accomplish all this using my benefits from Cherokee Nation?

I know that I had to get my college education the old fashioned way...by paying for it myself. My husband payed for it quarter by quarter, I went to school and I worked at the same time yo help. It wasn't easy, but when you want something bad enough, you find a way to do it. There were no extra benefits for me...I did it on my own. I am proud of that...
I think you must get your GED first...then move on to the next step.

Contact a member of the Cherokee tribal council. Where I grew up we have a Chippewa tribal council that handles all dealings with education, grants and scholarships. If you live on reservation land it is more likely that you will be able to have your school paid for.

Good luck

Make sure which cards you have.
White card = Certificate of Degree of Indian Blood (CDIB)
Blue card = Cherokee Tribal membership

My education in Electronic Engineering was paid for by the US Department of Energy. I had to maintain a 3.0 grade average of better. Only the CDIB card was required.

Tribal benefits depend on you income. Check this web site:
