Nervous for interview with big accounting firm! Help?!? |
Can you give me some tips? I'm a college student, and this is only a mock interview, but it's with a big 4 firm that I might like to actually work for when I graduate (or maybe internship this summer) so I need to make a good impression. I'm very articulate, but when I get nervous, I don't always think my responses through. Any other people in the corporate world who have gotten through their first real interviews?? I could really use your advice! How do you maintain composure in such an intimidating situation? I was in your position a few years ago and I understand how you are feeling. I didn't do too well to be honest with you but I was able to learn for other interviews down the road. Me not getting the job was a blessing though and things really will work out for the best. My advice to you is to relax and be confident in yourself and let them see that they need you not that you need them. Go in thinking that if it works out it works out but there are other options out there also. BE PREPARED! Look online for interview questions. Monster has a great site for these questions. You are never going to know every question, but being prepared for some of the questions is great. BE CONFIDENT AND POSITIVE. Arrive early, look great, no perfume, smile a lot, have a good handshake..... |
