I have just started working at an Accounting firm which I worked at for 3 years previously, before going?

overseas for a year. It was intended that I wouldnt return, but it did turn out that I did return to the firm. Now, I notice that I have been blamed by a colleague in stuffing up a clients work, this was admitted to the client. It was not the case at all, I didnt spend much time on it before leaving.

Should I make an issue of it?

No, it's petty and management hates this type of stuff. Just think if you were in their position, what would you do about it?
What results would you accomplish through those actions? It's just a waste of everyone's time. Do your job or go elsewhere. There are a lot of accounting firms and job market for accountants is fairly competitive since implementation of Sarbanes Oxley. Chanes are that if you change eployers your income will go up.

No just do your job, or they will replace you. The last thing is having someone come back new starting trouble. Try to work it out with the chains of command.
