I am seeking a job within an accounting firm, as a trainee or junior.?

I am seeking a job within the accountancy and finance area, which will give me the opportunity to gain knowledge and experience, while i study the ACCA course, preferably a firm that will sponsor me to study. Is it possible? If so, how do i go about it? I am in desperate need of career guidance!

It depends how old you are, if your a graduate, loads of accountancy firms have opportunities where they offer you training.

If you've just completed A levels instead then you will be lucky to get a position in an acocuntancy firm as a trainee but it is possible. If this is the case you are better off finding an acocunts role for a particular company who offer you training instead and later on can move on to a trainee position for an acocuntancy firm.

Have a look at the big accountancy firms they take in loads of trainees, PWC (Price Waterhouse Coopers), KPMG, Ernst & Young and Deloitte.

I know the first two have trainee programs, i assume the other two do as well.

Also, be prepared to study ACA instead as this is a course designed for purely accountancy firms and financial reporting.

I am half way through ACCA and its OK, definitely has a range of Financial and managerial. Depends if you'd rather work your way up i nan accountancy firm then go for ACA or if your not sure find one that does ACCA.

find the site jobs for you !
