Does M-Theory account for the magnetic monopole problem? |
One "problem" with traditional GUTS cosmology is the lack of an explanation for the "monopole" problem. There should be left over magnetic monopoles from the big bang, but there aren't any. Does M-Theory deal with this? Are they all "curled up" in one of those extra dimensions? If not, where can I buy one? I need it to power the interstellar ramjet I'm building from used vacuum cleaner parts in my garage. Yes. I'm not expert on the matter but I read in an astronomy magazine somewhere that inflation theory solved the monopole problem. |
