A billoin in missing Iraq funds. "Training" funds for Iraqi police. But no one really cares do they?

What training. Half of the recruits were killed !
This is all so transparent. War or so-called war means big money. Difference. In earlier wars, the PEOPLE reaped the benefits. Now, it's all big business.

The U.S. State Department is unable to account for most of $1.2 billion in funding that it gave to DynCorp International to train Iraqi police, a government report said Tuesday.
An International Police Liaison Officer hired by DynCorp stands near new Iraqi police recruits in Falluja, Iraq.
"The bottom line is that State can't account for where it went," said Glenn D. Furbish, who was involved in putting together the 20-page report for the special inspector general for Iraq reconstruction (SIGIR).
The Department of State's Bureau for International Narcotics and Law Enforcement Affairs (INL) "did not have the information needed to identify what DynCorp provided under the contract or how funds were spent," the report said.

Thieves. ALL OF THEM.

i hope they get the chance to explain and defend their incompetence to the IRS, then go to jail for longer than Al Capone. how are these "contractors" (read mercenaries) any different than organized crime and government supported Mafias?

the GOP functionaries and allies care. they have enjoyed and currently enjoy receiving duffel bags full of billions in taxpayer cash.

How many billions have now been misplaced in Iraq. Over the last three years I think it starts to approach 14 Billion.

I think it is not so much missing as redirected to the Caymen accounts of the Imperial Executive Branch.

After all, Dick Cheney's services have never come cheap.

The American public NEVER received an answer about the billions of CASH that was sitting on pallets that just "disappeared".
What the hell are people doing with OUR money and how can our government be so nonchalant about it?
