LLC and Corporation?

I have a LLC based in Pa..We are buying a Corporated company in IL..Our billing and administrative is in PA..our operations are in IL...The Corporation we are buying, I wanna use the Corporation to pay our employees through it(I can get better insurance rates with a company based in IL). The people being paid will have more responsibility with the PA LLC..the corporation is a real and active company..But not everyone on that payroll will be working with that company..is this legal ?

You might consider creating a holding company in IL.
