Is an employer legally bound to provide an employee with their personal payroll records upon request? |
If an employee requests their payroll history and their history of hours worked, does and employer legally have to provide the information to the employee? If the information is not cumulative on your pay stubs, then yes your employer has to provide the information when requested. It's not on your pay stub? I think yes.....they should provide that for you. I just don't think they can provide it to anyone else other than the IRS. I don't know the laws, but I would suggest you call your state Wage and Hour Commission and ask. |
