How much does payroll service cost, etc?

I'm planning on starting my own preschool, but I need to know the cost of a payroll service, accountant, insurance for employees and other things. I can't find this information anywhere. I'm trying to calculate my expences but I need an accurate amount. Where can I get this info from, besides here?

I use ADP for our payroll service and they also have workman's comp. They take care of our payroll, FICA, unemployment insurance and other items associated with payroll. Call them to see what they all offer I know they offer more than we use them for. 888-434-2480

CC - Your best bet is to call one of the two largest in the country, Paychex or ADP. It can be under a hundred a month for payroll services for a small business and alot of things affect the cost. These include but are not limited to: frequency of payroll (every week, every other), checks or direct deposit, number of employees, etc etc.

If you give them some of this info they can give you a quote very quickly. For these fees they will most importantly file your payroll taxes for you and are bonded such that any mistakes and they pay penalties (they generally don't make any - but any new business owner will for sure).

...why do I know? I work for a mid-sized accounting firm in Saint Louis and we don't even do our own! We have had both of these groups at one time and either will do the trick. The hassle isn't worth it! They both have separate divisions to help with employee benefits such as insurance too.
